An Evening of Lights

Normally we go to the lights before Christmas every year at the Zoo. This year I wanted to do something a little different. There is a Gardens/Conservatory about an hour from me and I discovered they were having "An Evening of Lights". I don't regret the decision to go here instead of the Zoo at all. It was a nice relaxing evening, there was no mile long line to park, and no big crowds.

We started by touring the conservatory, which was full of trees, plants, cacti and flowers tastefully decorated for Christmas. Kind of made you forget there was snow on the ground outside.

And when the sun finally went down, we climbed back in the car to drive around and look at the luminaries

I can't think of a better way to spend a December evening
